Well, as expected Rob Manfred spoke to the media today and some news came out of it that we should discuss along with more anticipated posturing that I also suppose we should have expected.
As with anything MLB proposes, they’re of course willing to accept it, but more often than not they’re simply looking for movement from the players.
Young players come up, the team struggles mightily to look like a professional club, and after some of those youngsters gain experience, they eventually do.
On Thursday MLB made their first formal proposal to MLBPA in 42 days focusing on core economic issues. Today I’m going to lay out what was proposed, even while I acknowledge this won’t be what the final agreement looks like.
Without a stoppage, it’s more of the same, if you’re ok with that, we disagree. Doesn’t make you wrong or me right, but I’m not likely to change my mind on what this league needs.
