When I say make something better I mean measurably better. I can already hear two things before I even finish this piece. “They aren’t going to get a cap, don’t say it!” and “A cap system is what they need to do!”
I’m sure some of you noticed, we’ve been fairly quiet over here at Inside the Bucs Basement. There is something to be said for a period of reflection, a step back to help yourself to end the cycle of riding the waves and the emotion that comes with them.
This weekend brought another round of MLB and MLBPA arguing with each other, accusing each other of being disingenuous or lacking good faith to negotiate.
Here we are. Entering June and still no agreement to get back to the business of baseball. The two sides have effectively injured themselves, primarily with self-inflicted wounds as we’ve watched them step in it time and again.
