I know, I know, it’s incredibly early for this, but I believe we can do this anyway. Couple reasons, first I feel fairly confident that if they bring in a starter, it won’t be a better option than what is currently here, and on top of that I don’t see the Pirates making a whole lot of moves this off-season to the starting pitching.
Almost every day, I get asked this question and most of the time I brush it aside. It’s obvious right? They aren’t good enough. Well, that’s certainly part of the equation but as with almost every aspect of this beautiful game, it’s not that simple. Today, let’s dive in and really try to answer the question.
In game one the Pirates sent Chad Kuhl to the mound. The lineup featured the return of Kevin Newman and the MLB debut for Will Craig. The Cards trotted their normal lineup out and started Kwang-Hyun Kim the lefty.
